Community information — check before you rely on it

Events, notices, sport fixtures, news summaries and directory listings are community-sourced and can change or contain errors. Times, venues and details should be confirmed with the organiser or business before you travel or pay. We link to original sources wherever we can — the source is authoritative, not our summary. We provide the site as-is and, to the extent the law allows, aren’t liable for loss arising from reliance on listed information. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act where they apply.

Submitting content

• Only submit what’s genuine, local, lawful and yours to share, and follow the community rules.
• You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a non-exclusive licence to publish, edit for clarity/format, and remove it — that’s what running a moderated noticeboard requires.
• Everything is moderated: we may decline, edit or remove any submission, before or after publication, at our discretion — especially anything unsafe, misleading, unlawful or off-topic. Notices expire automatically (about 30 days).
• Don’t post other people’s personal information, and don’t post about identifiable children.

Directory listings & claims

Free listings are compiled from public sources and from businesses themselves. Claiming a listing is only for people genuinely authorised to represent that business — we may ask for verification and may remove claims or listings that appear inaccurate or misrepresented. Paid placements (premium listings, sponsorships) are always labelled; payment terms are agreed at purchase and processed by Stripe.

Accounts

Keep your password to yourself and your details accurate. We may suspend or close accounts used to break these terms. You can ask us to delete your account via the contact form.

Our content & third-party links

The site’s own text, design and structure are ours; don’t republish them wholesale without asking. News items are our own short summaries with links out to the original publisher — the original remains theirs. Linked sites are outside our control and their terms apply there. Directory data sourced from OpenStreetMap is used under its open licence, with attribution where shown.

Problems, takedowns & these terms changing

See something wrong — inaccurate, unfair, infringing or about you? Report itand we’ll review promptly; our privacy commitments are in the privacy policy. We may update these terms from time to time — material changes will be reflected in the date above. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
