Selwyn Council to adopt its 2026/27 Annual Plan on 30 June

Selwyn District Council is set to adopt its 2026/27 Annual Plan at a public meeting on 30 June, with the plan taking effect from 1 July 2026. The plan sets out what the Council aims to achieve over the financial year and how it will be funded. Following community consultation earlier in the year, the Council weighed three rates-increase options of 6.5%, 5.4% and 4.9% on average - all lower than previously signalled - with at least $9.2 million in cost savings built into each.
